Motion carried unanimously. <br />ENVIRONMENT COMMITTEE <br />1. Eurasian Water Milfoil Task Force. Chair Reese <br />A. Progress on Barging Contract <br />Reese reported the Request for Proposals for a contract to <br />collect the cut weeds on barges from the weed harvesters. the <br />barges hauling them to sliore. and trucking to disp-.sal <br />has been completed. Additional costs will be involved. These <br />costs must be weighed against cutting efficiency wlucli may <br />double or triple productivity. <br />B. Lakeshore Weed Pick-up Service <br />Reese is prepared to send a letter to potential <br />ontrepreneurs for removal of cut weeds from residential <br />shorelines. The Lake Minnetonka Lakeshore Owners Association <br />views the program favorably and is being encouraged to work <br />the operator for promoting participation and scheduling of <br />up. It will require a capital investment by the operator. LM.-D <br />Will assist in hauling cut weeds to the disposal site at no <br />charge to the operator. <br />C.
