I <br />it <br />Er* I <br />'MOV 2 0 lOfe <br />Dear Mike: <br />We have reviewed the plan and profile for the proposed driveway improvements on the Paul <br />Boyke property, located to the east of Lydiard Lake. The plan shows the proposed drive^y <br />which will be constructed of bituminous with a bituminous berm curb on each side. Ihe <br />driveway appears to vary from 8 to 12 feet in width. The driveway alignment is veiy steep and <br />has both a large excavation and fill section. A typical section detail should be provided to show <br />the proposed driveway section, the excavation grades, fill grades and retaining waU. The <br />grddiDg should be 3il (horizontal to vertical) maximuni. <br />The drainage revisions requested by the City staff are appropriate, file proposed swale along <br />the shoreline setback should have a 1 percent minimum slope. The existing 12 cu vert should <br />have rip rap and filter liner at the downstream end. We recommend aprons be placed on all <br />culverts.
