> <br /> Y <br /> r <br /> �O ♦O <br /> C ITY OF ORONO <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE CIT'Y COUNCIL <br /> � '� 644 � <br /> � 1 <br /> �' G N O. <br /> `A'�ESH��� <br /> A RESOLUTION FINDING NO POTENTIAL FOR <br /> SIGNIFICANT ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACTS AND <br /> MAKING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION ON THE NEED FOR AN <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT STATEMENT (EIS) <br /> 405 North Arm Drive (AKA Lakeview) <br /> Property Identification Numbers: 06-117-23-32-0003; 06-117-23-33-0005; <br /> 06-117-23-33-0007; 06-117-23-34-0002; and 07-117-23-12-0001 <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Orono (hereinafter "City") is a municipal corporation <br /> organized and existing under the laws of the State of Minnesota; and <br /> WHEREAS, the property in question consists of approximately 149 acres, <br /> operated as a golf course since the late 1950s; and <br /> WHEREAS, the current land use category applied to the subject property in the <br /> Orono 2008-2030 Community Management Plan (CMP) is "Parks Recreational and Open <br /> Space"; and <br /> WHEREAS, the current owner has applied for an amendment to the CMP to <br /> change the land use designation from "Parks Recreational and Open Space" to "Rural <br /> Residential"; and <br /> WHEREAS, the conversion of such land from golf course to residential raises the <br /> potential for alterations to the environment that require additional study; and <br /> WHEREAS, in January, 2014 the Orono City Council found that the proposed <br /> Lakeview residential project qualified for such study under the process for an Environmental <br /> Assessment Worksheet (EAW) under Minnesota Rules 4400 et. seq.; and <br /> WHEREAS, an EAW study was commenced by the project proposer; and <br /> WHEREAS, the draft EAW was published in the EQB Monitor pursuant to <br /> Minnesota Rules on July 7, 2014; and <br /> WHEREAS, the draft EAW was distributed to all required parties under the <br /> Rules, as well as to all parties requesting notification; and <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br />
