It is his belief <br />that nieinbers must be more careful in their actions as appointed <br />officials because the public has no recourse. One thing to be considered is if there is a need for that <br />person to vote on an item when there could be a perception of a <br />con f1ic t. <br />Grothwol said he is personally concerned with ethical ques <br />tions. When appointed he took an oath involving public trust. <br />The people who appointed him expect him to accept <br />hility. Each member should talk to and listen to <br />tions, seriously, and then vote what they feel <br />t rue. <br />Bloom said it is his belief members should hold to a high <br />standard. This discussion is talking about ethical appearance of <br />impropriety which are per.soiuil ilecisions. He a.sked the Board to <br />proceed to the agenda. <br />MOTION: Rascop moved. Carlson seconded, to close the discus <br />sion. to leave the LMt 1) Conflict of Interest Policy Statement as <br />it is and to allow the members to use tlieii own conscience when <br />VOIina. <br />DliSCUSSlON: Markus suggested asking each meml)er about membership <br />in the Wayznta Yacht Club when action i .s culled for on the Club’s <br />request. Babcock questioned who has the responsibility to bring <br />a conflict of interest to the Board’s attention. <br />Rascop called the question, stating the discussion was not <br />pertinent to t lie mot ion . <br />VOT'li: Motion carried unanimously. <br />COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />1 WATER STRUCTURES, Chair Babcock <br />A.
