(1) The Participant â– arriea <br />(b) <br />The Participant divorces his or her spouse. <br />(3) The spouse or dependent of the Participant dies. <br />(M A child is bom to or adopted by the Participant, a child of <br />the Participant becomes married or divorced, or a child of the <br />Participant ceases to be or becomes a dependent of the Par <br />ticipant. <br />(5) The Participant’s spouse becomes employed or ceases to be <br />employed. <br />(6) The Participant or the Participant's spouse changes from part <br />time to full-time status or vice versa, or takes an unpaid <br />leave of absence. <br />(7)A significant change in health coverage attributable to the <br />spouse's employment occurs. <br />(8)Any other event occurs that allows a new election under appli <br />cable Internal Revenue Service regulations. <br />The Employer may in its sole discretion extend the Election Period <br />under this subsection upon presentation by the Participant of evi <br />dence showing that the failure to file the Election prior to the <br />deadline was for good cause which was not the fault of the Partici <br />pant. Any such Election made during the Election Period provided <br />by this subsection (a) must be consistent with the change in family <br />status resulting from the event described above. The Employer <br />shall not accept any Election during said Election Period which it <br />deems to be inconsistent with the change in family status. In <br />addition, any such Election may not reduce the total amount to be <br />credited to an eligible Participant's Medical Care Expense Account <br />for the Plan Tear to less than the amount of eligible expenses <br />incurred by the Participant prior to the effective date of the new <br />Election. <br />With respect to an individual who becomes a Qualified Employee <br />during the Plan Tear, the Election Period for said Plan Tear shall <br />be any period established by the Employer which ends prior to the <br />first day of the month following the date the individual becomes a <br />Qualified Employee. The Employer may in its sole discretion ettwd <br />the Election Period for such an individual, but the extended period <br />must in all events end not later than 31 days after the date the <br />individual became a Qualified Employee. <br />Sec. 2.3 M*»dlcal Care Expense Account.
