Lake Min.ietonka Conservation District <br />PROPOSED PARKING STANDARDS <br />LAKE MINNETONiOX PUBLIC ACCESSES <br />(Amended 8-26-92) <br />The Lake Minnetonka Lake Access Task Force Data Gathering/Standards Subcom- <br />mittee recommends the goal of 700 long-term reliable spaces for <br />car/trailer parking in the vicinity of present and future access sites at <br />Lake Minnetonka. The Tnak Fofoo Subcommittee further rocomme«4e<i- recommends <br />that the Lake Minnetonka Conservation District (LMCD) establish an acceptable <br />set of standards for identifying and counting of these spaces and monitor <br />progress toward the goal on a continuing basis. <br />The following set of standards 4m8-heen-aden>&^ is recommended by the -hblGB- <br />3nd th? Minngffor? nf Matural-Re&our:c»ft-Subcommittee for applica­ <br />tion to Lake Minnetonka: <br />1.All spaces must be within 1,50»^ 2,000' of a public access point. Within that time availability,. <br />if any designated spaces need to be removed, they must be replaced wit_ <br />comparable spaces. <br />3.The location of off-Bite-parking spaces, either off-street or on-street <br />away from the access site, must be identified by clear, permanent-type- <br />aesthetically attractive, consolidated, capable of being inexpensivelx <br />updated , signage-,—at—t-he—access—po-int. <br />4.All off-street spaces must be 4aved-out- illustrated on a plan on fi e <br />with the LMCD. The plan shall clearly indicate each car/trailer space <br />and adequate ingress, egress and maneuvering space.
