Box 6085, Arlington, <br />Virginia 22206 <br />American Welding Society, Inc., 2501, N.W. 7th Street, <br />Miami, Florida 33125 <br />Low Water Datum <br />Southern Pine Inspection Bureau <br />Comoliance: Comply with those codes and/or standards specified in <br />this Section and referenced above. <br />Conflicts: In case of conflict between the referenced codes and/or <br />standards, the most stringent requirements shall govern. <br />SUBHIHALS <br />Shop Drawings: The successful bidder shall be required to submit <br />six (6) complete sets of detailed shop drawings of the complete pier <br />system that was pre-qualified to the Engineer for approval prior to <br />fabrication of the required floating pier system. The shop drawings <br />shall show all dimensions, clearances, and anchorage locations. If <br />utilities are included, drawings shall show the location of utilities <br />including electrical conduit and junction boxes; waterlines, <br />crossovers, risers and valves; fuel lines; forcemains; telephone and <br />television conduit; and other required components including method/s <br />of attachment. The detailed shop drawings shall bear the seal of a <br />professional engineer registered to practice in the state of Michigan <br />who is experienced in the design of floating structures, anchorages <br />and related appurtenances. In addition, if design calculations for <br />this specific project as described in 1.2.2.5 were not previously <br />submitted during prequalification as similar type calculations were <br />substituted, at the discretion of the engineer, six copies of said <br />calculations may be required along with the shop drawings. <br />Construction Sequence: <br />submit a construction <br />time schedule. <br />The successful bidder shall be required to <br />sequence schedule as well as a construction <br />Record Drawings: At the completion of the work the successful bidder <br />shall provide the Engineer with reproducible drawings of the floating <br />pier system installation incorporating all changes made during the <br />construction and installation process. <br />- 7 -
