Date: April 8, 2024 Item: 6 <br />Presenter: James Van Eyll, Fire Chief <br />Section: Consent Agenda <br /> <br />Title: Contract for Scheduling Software - Resolution 7467 <br /> <br /> <br />1.Purpose: <br />The council should review and authorize the software program identified for the Orono Fire <br />Department. <br />2.Background: <br />Staff has identified the following software to be used by the Orono Fire Department that fits best <br />practices and helps the department become more efficient. <br /> <br />Vector Solutions is an online platform that we currently utilize for our online training (Target <br />Solutions) and for our online asset management and checklist platform (Check It). We would <br />utilize Vector Solutions Scheduling to deliver an online platform for our crew scheduling for our <br />firefighters. This online software program also comes with a free app to assist our firefighters in <br />picking their shifts and logging their time for training and calls. Vector Solutions is a partner with <br />the International Association of Fire Chiefs (IFAC). <br />3.Cost: <br />Vector Solutions scheduling annually is $3,039 and there is a one time set up charge of $800 total. <br />Vector Solutions is waving their one time set up charge since we already are using their other two <br />platforms. <br />4.Funding: <br />All funding for request was budgeted for in our department operating budget, which was approved <br />in December. <br />5.Staff Recommendation: <br />I recommend to authorize the use of Vector Solutions Scheduling for online scheduling platform. <br /> The Council should authorize the City of Orono to enter into a contract with Vector Solutions. <br />AGENDA ITEM <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />Motion to approve the contracts with Vector Solutions Scheduling. <br />Exhibits <br />A.
