He noted that the governmental agencies are in the process <br />of revamping the regulations governing above-g-'ound tanks. <br />Jabbour asked if Keeie would recommend fiberglass versus steel. <br />Keeie said he would. <br />Jabbour asked about ecological effects. <br />longer a singleKeeie explained that the tanks underground are no <br />tank. <br />Goetten explained they are very concerned with the environmen:a1 <br />Issues, and have actually required others to remove underground <br />tanks. <br />Keeie indicated the risk factor <br />tanks. <br />IS the same for both types of <br />Jabbour noted that they were told that fiberglass tanks would be <br />approximately double the price. <br />Keeie felt that estimate to be iicorrect, and noted that both <br />fiberglass and steel would be approximately the same price. <br />Keel explained that the tanks now have a l/2” thick protective <br />coating and there has been so much new technology in this field <br />to perfect the tanks. <br />Callahan asked about potential for problems if there is a leak in- <br />ground. He gathered that there is a move to more above-ground tanks <br />and that is why the new regulations are being drafted. <br />Keeie noted above-ground tanks are just an option which needs to <br />be addressed.
