He thanked the City <br />of MInnetrlsta and Scott Carl son for their support and thanked Dick <br />Chsrba for the use of the plane. He explained that the summary <br />Includad in tne report is based on old criteria, but the Task Force <br />hr.s raquostsd the summary be changed to be based on new criteria. <br />Jabbour explained that the ONR has counted 217 car/trailer parking <br />apacas, but based upon * DNR’s old criteria :here are actually <br />;|I46 parking spaces aval 'e. He said the DNR has agreed to a I low <br />10* credit fo»- narking or v abides with canoes, jet skis and other <br />recreational nicies. He r*as suggested to the DNR to reduce the <br />number of parking spaces by 145 to get to the 700 parking spaces <br />mentioned before. He aoned the Fisherman’s Lobby has supported <br />!,0rono*s position. He sale he has been told by the DNR that this is <br />the last study they are do ng on Lake Minnetonka, and feels Orono <br />Is trying to stall the ONR. <br />■;v <br />ENOINEER’S REPORT <br />(••7) PAY REQUEST tS HIGHWAY 12 FRONTAGE ROAD - <br />SEWER, WATER t STREET INPROVEMENT <br />It was moved by Butler, seconded by Callahan, <br />request for payment to B A D Underground, Inc. <br />$15,920.21 for trunk Highway 12 f-ontage road. <br />Street Improvements. Ayes 4, nays 0. <br />to authorize the <br />for an amount of <br />sewer, water and <br />CITY ADMINISTRATOR’S REPORT <br />(•a) FUEL STORAGE BIO AWARD <br />Moorse reviewed a memo on insurance and a memo from the Building <br />Official regarding abo/e versus below ground tanks. He stated that <br />underground tanks are less expensive initially. There does not <br />appear to be a great difference in future insurance costs for <br />underground tanks, but that is difficilt to determine. <br />m:
