He questioned the usage of the trail. <br />Minnich stated that .ost Vr°a?l <br />Road are avid bikers and do not need a bike trail. <br />use stated that as a mother, she feels a need for additional bike <br />t raI Is. <br />A resident felt that If the trail were contiguous to the asphalt, <br />it would not be safe enough for children or even adults. <br />Ml Iler noted it would not be contiguous. He noted that the road <br />is probably not used for biking purposes currently because of Its <br />limitation as a bike trail. <br />Chair Flint advised that the Commission will be making a <br />recommendation to the Council, and they will make the final <br />decision. He noted residents would be informed of updates. He <br />noted that the trail south of the Luce Line Trail has not been <br />considered In detail with this proposal. <br />Mr. MInnIch stated he was very positive about the project. <br />White stated that the trail proposed south of the Luca Line Trail <br />has not been included within their CIP. <br />Hitter felt that time and money should be invested so It doesn t <br />look like a typical bike trail as the character of Orono Is very <br />different than other cities. <br />Mrs. Minnich stated that she would like to sea a trail system but <br />does not want added traffic through her property. <br />Mr. Will stated that he Is generally In favor of the trail, but <br />reminded them that the trail would be built for many others outside <br />the Community limits. <br />King Q.xplalned that the property owners will have Input on <br />screening to be provided. <br />6
