These topics and <br />many more are presented by a knowl^geable <br />sdection of highly sought-after speakers (see box). <br />Booths displaying environmentally friendly products <br />for your home and family will provide an <br />opportunity to learn about safe products and how, <br />over the long run, they save your money and health. <br />Receive a free tree for your yard, get some great <br />advice on iandsc^[ring for wildlife or order a native <br />tree from the Boy Scouts ’ booth. Find out what <br />community service organizations, such as the <br />Chamber of Commerce, Rotary, Lions Club and <br />mcHne are all about and what they are doing now to <br />save the environment. Representatives from these <br />organizations will be available to answer questions. <br />Shake hands with your State political leaders who <br />are available to address the environmental issues <br />that most interest you. <br />Children will enjoy the special "Kid’s Korner" with environmental games and projects. Como Zoo will be on hand to share their favorite petting animals. <br />The Raptor Center will explain their work and <br />display some of their birds. <br />The beautiful setting of the Lafayette Club is a <br />delightful location for this spring event. A delicious <br />Spring Buffet will be served for a nominal fee on <br />the front porch overlooking the lake. Make this a <br />special outing with your family or friends. <br />This Earth Day celebration will be the kick-off for <br />the 14 Lake Minnetonka cities’ Spring of ’92 Clean <br />up programs. Some cities have designed their <br />clean-up project and are expecting overwhelming <br />participation. If you would like to be involved <br />contact your city council for details about their plan <br />or organize your own neighborhood spring clean-up. <br />We welcome your participation in creating a display <br />booth which demonstrates your environmental <br />concerns, products or program.
