LMCD Board of Directors December 4, 1991 <br />3. Outside Activities <br />The executive director presented a program on EWM to three <br />classes at the Minnetonka Middle School on 11/22 <br />The executive director is serving on the Fresh Water <br />Foundation Lake Management Forum. The Forum will meet monthly <br />for six months with six sub-committees on how to better manage <br />lakes on a state-wide basis. <br />Boswinkel was excused. <br />tf' <br />r: <br />'7..M <br />rr <br />> I <br />))' <br />ONFINISHEO BUSINESS <br />1. Management Plan Review <br />Cochran reported the Management Plan is at the Metropolitan <br />Council. The Metropolitan Council staff report was received this <br />afternoon. The findings are basically positive. The reviewers <br />feel we are in tune with the Metropolitan Development Guide and <br />we will not require additional legislative authority. The <br />Metropolitan staff report will go to the Systems Committee on <br />12/10. The full Council will review it 12/19. LMCD will have <br />representation. <br />2. Conflict of Interest Sub-committee <br />The conflict of interest sub-committee meeting has been <br />rescheduled for the week of December 16 to accommodate Gen <br />Olson * s attendance. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />1. Committee Structure for 1992 <br />Cochran reported he is not ready to present his standing <br />committees. He asked for deferment to January. He said he is <br />trying to tie the standing committees closer to the Management <br />Plan and provide for special committees for special ourposfcs from <br />time to time. <br />2. Depository. Hurr moved, Pillsbury seconded, to approve <br />Resolution 79, naming Norwest Bank, Wayzata, as the depository <br />for District Funds. No member indicated a conflict and the <br />motion carried. <br />3. Official Newspaper. Hurr moved, Reese seconded, to <br />appoint the SAILOR newspaper as the newspaper for official <br />publication with continuation of publication in other papers as <br />required. Motion carried. <br />4. 1992 Meeting Calendar. The executive director asked for <br />direction on preparation of the 1992 meeting calendar. Cochran <br />said it is conceivable that the committees might change their <br />dates and times.
