Duties of the Construction Observer will include the following: <br />• Attendance at the pre-construction meeting and all construction-related meetings <br />• Serve as a liaison between the city and the contractor <br />• Review of the completed work to determine if the project is in general conformance with the plans and <br />specifications <br />• Maintenance of construction documentation <br />• Communication with affected property owners, as necessary, to address their construction-related concerns and <br />issues <br /> <br />Construction Administration <br />Construction administration duties will include the following: <br />• Administering a pre-construction meeting <br />• Administering project meetings <br />• Preparation of pay estimates <br />• Contractor communications <br />• Liaison with City Staff and Council <br /> <br />Fee Estimate <br />Based on the scope of Construction Services described above, and the amount of unused time for the design phase of the <br />project we propose an additional $9,000 for the construction phase. Bringing the total not-to-exceed fee for design and <br />construction to $33,900 to be billed on an hourly basis.
