PnOC;RAM DESCRIPTIONS <br />Greenfield: The City contracts with Bursch Brothers to provide a <br />drop-off location for residents' yard waste on Monday evenings and <br />Saturday mornings through the growing season. <br />Independence: The City did not have a yard waste program in 1992 <br />but is considering working with Orono to provide certain days when <br />residents can take yard waste to Orono site. <br />Long Lake: The City provides a site for residents and haulers to <br />dispose of leaves & grass. The City maintains the site as a <br />compost site. The City also provides two curbside yardwaste days <br />a year - one in spring & one in fall. The City also contracts with <br />a private vendor for chipping & disposal of brush. <br />Loretto: The City contracts with its waste hauler to collect <br />leaves & grass from residents for two curbside yard waste <br />collections a year. The haulers dispose of the collected material <br />at a city-owned site for composting, or eventual landspreading. <br />Maple Plain: As part of a contract for hauling garbage in the <br />City, Randy's Sanitation collects yard waste on a separate weekly <br />route. They deposit it at the City's compost site where the public <br />works crew maintains the pile as it decomposes. <br />Medina: The City hosts yard waste drop-off collections in the <br />spring and fall of each year. Leaves & grass are being composted <br />on City property. Residents continue to dispose of grass at the <br />site through the summer. <br />Orono: The City provides a staffed yard waste drop-off site for <br />residents several Saturdays throughout the growing season.
