SECTION 7. Orono City Code Title V, Chapter 46, Article II, Division 2, <br />Section 46-58 is amended by adding the underlined language and deleting the <br />st,ziketl,,.,,,,g1, language as follows: <br />Sec. 46-58. New materials. <br />The city administrator, p� building official and the fire chief e€ <br />shall together <br />act as a committee to determine and specify, after giving affected persons an <br />opportunity to be heard, any new materials, processes or occupancies which <br />shall require permits, in addition to those enumerated in the fire code. As they <br />occur, such determinations shall be listed; and such list shall be posted in the <br />offices of the „oliee ehief, the building official and each the fire chief, and <br />distributed to all interested parties. <br />SECTION 8. Orono City Code Title V, Chapter 46, Article II, Division 3, <br />Section 46-81 is amended by adding the underlined language and deleting the <br />striketh+ou language as follows: <br />Sec. 46-81. Established. <br />(a) The council provides for the establishment of fire lanes for purposes of <br />ensuring immediate unobstructed access for emergency vehicles and <br />equipment. <br />(b) Whether marked or unmarked, fire lanes are established at all public or <br />private fire hydrants, which fire lanes shall extend ten feet on either side of <br />the hydrant and 20 feet in front of the curb or pavement edge nearest the <br />front of the hydrant. <br />(c) Whether marked or unmarked, fire lanes are established at all building <br />exits required by the fire code or the state bung code, which fire lanes <br />shall extend ten feet in all direction from the exits.
