1993 Joint Use Dock License <br />March 2, 1993 <br />Page 2 <br />C.Victoria Estates Homeowners Association - 540 North Arm Drive. This six-slip <br />dock serves the six lots in the Victoria Estates subdivision, dating to 1978. The <br />dock is located within a channel heading northward from the main body ot Ni>rth <br />Arm. Staff has received no complaints regarding this joint use. <br />D.Walters Port Maintenance and Improvement Association - 2699/2701 Kelly <br />Avenue. This joint use dotk provides slips in Walters Port Lagoon for four lots <br />within the original Walters Port subdivision. While use of the lagoon for docking <br />apparently dates back to the early 1960 ’s, the first joint use dock license was <br />issued in 1984. <br />The five joint use slips arc located at the north end of the lagoon, and variances <br />for setbacks from p-operty lines have historically been reaffirmed in each year’s <br />license.We have received no complaints regarding this joint use dock. <br />E.Foxhill Homeowners Association - 1801 Snorehne Drive. This joint use dock has <br />been licensed by the City since the 1960 ’s, providing up to 16 slips (one boat per <br />residence) for the lots in the Fo.xhill subdivision. The number ot actual slips <br />constructed in a given year has varied from as few as eight to as many as 13 in <br />recent years. For 1993, eight slips are proposed to be constructed. Staff has <br />received no complaints regarding this joint use dock. <br />F.Big Island, Inc. - 520/530 Big Island. This set of two joint use docks provides <br />a total of up to 15 transient slips for members of the Big Island, Inc. recreation <br />group. The initial joint use dock license was issued in 1992. The current dock <br />system provides 14 slips. Staff has received no complaints regarding this joint <br />use dock. <br />Staff Recommendation <br />Staff recommends approval of the six joint use dock licenses noted above per the attached <br />resolutions. <br />Proposed Motion: Moved by_____, seconded by , to approve the issuance of 1993 <br />Annual Joint Use Dock Licenses for Sandy Beach Place, Minnetonka Power Squadron, Victona <br />Estates Homeowne-s AssiKiation, Walters Port Maintenance and Improvement .Association, <br />Foxhill Homeowners Association, and Big Island, Inc. per the attached resolution. <br />Vote- Aves,____Nays. <br />Isv <br />• • <br />•t
