SRC customer surveys show an extremely high rate of customer sadsfacrion,
indicating quality service, sensidve and skillful personnel and effeedve results
delivered on a dmely basis;
• SRC possesses the exisdng tools, systems, central locadon, staff support, and
contracts to provide uninterrupted service to applicants in need. Any other vendor
would netu at least 12 months to come sufficiently close to matching SRC’s
quality, productivity and effectiveness;
• SRC's current work force of 15 full-time, culturally diverse and carefully trained
apprentices, crew managers and support personnel arc completely dependent upon
a continuation of this work and cannot be retained if me contract is discontinued;
SRC has contributed to local energy conservation effons with demonstrated
leadership and innovation;
SRC's record of achieving its weatherization unit goals is 99.5% over the 13 years
of our experience. Only a small number of weatherization agencies in this state
could match our record.
In sumniary, public policy interests would be best scr/ed by retaining the current vendor
which is effectively delivering d jcct weatherization services. SRC, as the current
vendor, has a great advantage of efficiency by operating the weatherization program as a
single integrated unit with our c wn union crews as employees, rather than just acting is
adrninistrators and contractors to deliver one program. The subsequent proposal includes
detailed evidence of SRC's srreng qualifications and experience in weatherization and
promotion of self-reliance among low-income households in matters of energy.
