Item No.: 26 Date: February 12, 2024 <br />Presenter: Adam Edwards <br />Presenter: City Administrator / Engineer <br />Section:City Administrator/Engineer <br />Report <br /> <br /> <br />Title: Construction Cooperative Agreement for Wayzata Blvd (CSAH 112) Road <br />Reconstruction. <br /> <br />1.Purpose: <br />The purpose of this item is to gain City Council approve the Cooperative agreement with Hennepin County <br />and Long Lake for the construction and maintenance of the CSAH 112 phase three project. <br />2.Background: <br />Hennepin County intends to improve CSAH 112 from Highway 12 to 6th Avenue in joint effort with Long <br />Lake and Orono. The majority of the project is funded with State Turn Back Funding. The overall project is <br />broken into three phases. Phase one consisted of the portion from Willow Drive to Wolf Pointe Trail. Phase <br />two included CSAH 112 from Wolf Pointe Trail to Wayzata Blvd West. Phase three consists of the section <br />from Willow Drive to CSAH 6. The Phase 3 design has been underway since 2019. Bids are being solicited <br />this winter with award expected in the early spring. Work on Phase 3 is planned to begin later this spring. <br />3.Cost: <br />A. The overall estimated cost of this phase is $ 12,384,796.70. <br />B. The cost for Orono for Phase three is projected to be $384,403.60. <br />C. The project will be funded from the Community Investment Fund and MSA Fund. <br />Funding Source Amount in 2024 CIP <br />Community Investment <br />Fund $ 357,000 <br />Streets MSA Fund $ 92,000 <br />4.Process: <br />Agreement Scope: The agreement lays out the responsibilities and cost participation during the construction <br />process and the maintenance responsibilities upon completion of the project.
