Steering Committee Objectives <br />1. Discuss and Recommend matters relating to policy, procedures and <br />agendas to the Task Force. <br />2. Appoint delegations to seek resolution of issues on which the Task <br />Force is unable to reach consensus. <br />Car/Trailer Parking Agreements Subcommittee Objecdves <br />1. Based on the parking space inventory, recommend types of <br />agreements needed to make existing parking acceptable under the <br />standards. <br />2. Consider the priority parking space agreements needed to meet an <br />April 15 deadline. <br />3. Recommend standards for quality (a grading system) of parking <br />spaces and access ramps. <br />Note: This subcommittee would not work directly with municipalities to <br />develc^ parking agreements but would encourage appropriate <br />agencies to do so. <br />Equitable Distribution and Access Siting Subcommittee Objectives <br />1. Consider and make recommendations on equitable distribution of <br />siting, sharing of local contribution for access and parking, <br />suitability of additional sites, and park and launch agreements with <br />dvate marinas. <br />leview and make recommendations on suitability and feasibility <br />of additional potential access sites (e.g. Howard's Point, Mai Tai, <br />Advance Machine) <br />3. Review and make recommendadons repaiding the development of <br />propc .d access facilities (e.g. Hennepui Parks. Gray's Bay <br />Causeway) <br />Secure Funding Subcommittee <br />No proposed objectives yet; need additic.al consultation with the DNR <br />2.I <br />5. <br />6. <br />Review of Draft Model Parking Agreement! <br />This agreement is still being developed by Gordtm Kimball and Gene S n. <br />Qthg{j[miQggg^ <br />Don Germanson req^sted that the Steering Committee send representatives to <br />meet with the LMLOA Board at their January 11 meeting to discuss further the <br />issues related to tiw 700 car/trailer parking spaces goal t^ was not resolved at <br />the December 9 Task Force meeting. Mr. Germanson requested that Jim <br />Grathwol from the Task Force and Dennis Asmussen, Mike Matkell. and Gordon <br />Kimball from the DNR be present Other Steering Committee members that will <br />attend are Bert Foster and Dave Cochran and possibly an additional member yet <br />to be named. <br />7. The meeting was adjourned at 9:20 p.m. <br />ilitator
