Planning & Zoni^MMjdmirfi^trator^l'^ <br />January 7, 1993 <br />Shoreland Flexibility Request - Cif' of Minnetonka <br />Attached is Minnetonka's formal request for flexibility from the <br />DNR's Shoreland Management Standards. Flexibixity is requested in <br />the following areas: <br />1. Structure height (requesting 35' instead of 25') <br />2 .Reduced lot sizes for a duplex, triplex and quad <br />residential development. <br />3. Reduced setback standards for accessory structures and <br />decks. <br />4 .Hardcover (requesting 30% in 0-150', 75% in 150-1,000' <br />zone - subject to "Shoreland Impact Plan"). <br />Please review the Minnetonka request ard advise staff of any <br />response Council wishes to make. <br />Per Council's December 14th direction, standard letters of no <br />objection to the Cities of Deephaven, Excelsior, Greenwood and <br />Shorewood have been diafted for the Mayor's signature. .A letter to <br />the DNR nearly identical to that previously mailed regarding the <br />Cities of Spring Park/Wayzata/Tonka Bay/Woodland/Minneuonka Beach <br />has also been drafted. <br />Staff has not drafted a letter of response to the City of Mound as <br />Councilmember Goetten was to do this. <br />ch
