The official holidays include <br />Friday, December 23 as the City's designated holiday, and Monday, <br />December 26 as the Christmas holiday observance due to Christmas <br />Day falling on a Sunday. This will provide a 4 day holiday <br />weekend. <br />A quirk in the calendar has caused the 1994 New Years Day holiday <br />to be observed on Friday, December 31, 1993 since January 1st falls <br />on a Saturday. <br />(-
