IMatining & Zoning Administrator <br />December 10, 1993 <br />SUBJKCT: "Hag Lot" Ordinance <br />\ <br />C.\ <br />At your last meeting, staff requested tabling this item so that the language could be <br />"tweaked" anJ made more user friendly. In all cases, the changes do not change any concepts <br />rccoinincnded by the Planning Commission, but wording is added, omitted, or revised for <br />clarity. The changes consist of the following: <br />• Definition of back lot slightly revised for clarity. <br />• Definition of f.oni lot added. <br />• Wording for where and how lot width is to be measured has been revised for <br />clarity. <br />• Tlie terms "required side yard", "required rear yard", and "required lakeshore <br />yard" have been substituted for "side yard", "rear yard" and "lakeshore yard" <br />wheie appii*priate, to preserve the distinctitrn between a required yard depth as <br />opposed to the actual yard depth based on the actual building hKation. <br />• Under access requirements, the 10’ setback fitr parking areas has been omitted <br />since that aheady occurs in Section 10.61. <br />'Ihe Building Zoning Department staff have reviewed the ordinance and find a valid <br />basis fitr its coiKcpts, and have discussed how it will be implemented Its applicability only to <br />back lots created after 1/1/94 makes its implemetMation relatively simple. <br />A copy of the oidinance submitted for your last iueeting has been included, with the <br />sections that have been revised Iveing circled. <br />.^s r>f this writing, these mitu»»^ revisions hitve been forwarded to Planning Commission <br />Chairman ('hailes .Schioeder for review, athJ his cotnments, if any. will be relayed to Council <br />Monday night. <br />, Second Senes, per the att^hed <br />, to adopt Ordinance No. <br />Sfaff Ret omm< tidal ion <br />Staff lecommends approval i f Ordinance No.____ <br />draft Moved by _ , seconded by _ <br />__ , Second .Scries, an ordinance to amend the Municipal Zoning Code and Subdivisioii <br />Code by defining standards lor tlie creation ainl use of lots which do not abut a public or private <br />to.h1. __ ayc\,___nays <br />ch
