%CITY OF ORONO, MIN>iliSOTA <br />IIIIUTES OF A PLANinNG COtfllSSION 'IF.hTrir; Ill-LD OCTOBER 17, 1977 <br />The Oi^no* Planning Commission met on the above date with <br />the following members present: Qiair\voman McDonald, <br />Members Guthrie, llammerel, llassel, llannali and llurr. <br />Member Frahm arrived at 7:40 p.m. Also present were <br />Mayor Van Nest and Zoning Administrator IlanK iliuiicn. <br />Mayor Van Nest opened the meeting by presenting John <br />Guthrie witii a resolution of apjireciation for his^ years <br />of service on the Planning Coimission, Tliis was Jr. <br />Guthrie's last meeting and the Planning Commission <br />expressed tlieir thanks for his contributions to tne <br />Commission and the community. <br />Ilurr moved, llammerel seconded, that the minutes of the <br />Planning Commission meeting of October 3, 1977, be <br />approved. Motion - Ayes (6), Nays (0). <br />In light of tlie new material received (resolution <br />prepared by attorney), Mr. Hacking requested that tliis <br />item be clefsrrcd until later in tlie rnoeting when his <br />client was present and he has liad a chance to discuss <br />tliis with him. <br />Tlie Zoning Administrator presented a copy of the fmial <br />plat. A copy of tlie title opinion has been fon\rarded <br />to tlie City Attorney for his approval. <br />The Zoning Administrator stated that tlie access to <br />Lot 1 has not been resolved, wliidi was a condition of <br />preliminary approval. In a letter to the City Attorney, <br />Thomas Maliler, attorney for Lucian Strong, suggested <br />that an easement agreement be entered into witli tlie <br />City to provide access to this lot. <br />Mr. Strong was present. Tlie Planning Commission reviewed <br />tlie final plat. After a brief discussion, Guthrie moved, <br />Ilamncrel seconded, to recommend approval suliject to the <br />conditions spelled out in Mr. Maliler's letter to the City <br />of Orono wliich gives a detailed description of hov; the <br />access easement w'ould be legally aandled. Subject to <br />approval of the City Attorney. Motion - Ayes (S), N'ays <br />(0), vVistain (l),ilassel. <br />Tlie Zoning Administrator iircsented the revised plan wliich <br />he felt was an improvement to the one previously approved <br />last ''larch.
