Tlie Zoning Administrator advised tliat
the City had determined that tliis property had riparian
rights and now are tiyang to determine i^iere the best
access to the lake would be. Soundings indicating the
depth of the cliannel have been submitted by the developer.
Tlie proposed dock as shoivn on the map was originally
proposed and denied. Tliis consists of a dock extending^
straight to the cliannel from Ix)ts 3 and 4 with an additional
200 ft. mooring dock parallel tc the channel. The dock for
mooring would necessitate dredging along the channel for
accessibility.
Mr. Haclcing advised the Commission tliat the DNR had indicated
to tliem that they objected to the alternate proposal pre
viously approved by Orono in wliich tlie dock ran out to and
along the channel and tlien jogged back 20 ft. and ran
parallel to the cliannel to the main lake. Tlie DNR objected
to tlie entrance to the lake in tliis proposal because of the
spawning area.
The Commission discussed anotlier alternative in idiich the
dock would run directly to the lake to attain the necessary
4 ft. depth and to recommend a variance that would allow
the dock to extend beyond the 100 ft. limit to miss the
spawning area. Tlie Planning Cojrriission indicated their
approval to a proposal of this nature and felt that tlie
DNR would also bo receptive.
mt
315 EAST GRAiVT CORPORATICN
(continued)
(#261)
VTCTORIA GP^AIN COMl’ANY
500 NORTH .ARM DPJ\Ti
SUBDIVISION' (PRELIMIN.ARY)
DOCK PROPOS.AL
(#200)
fe'w7.r.
: 1
I
MINUTES OF A PLAN'N]
Mr. Hacking express
a situation where c
other body is in fj
reviewed the sound!
indicated that tlie
Commission requests
replied that this v
town and he was un:
The Planning Commi<
permit the applicar
would not involve f
decision, either a{
Mr. Hacking tliat a
project as tlie app]
before s'Jimitting ?
decision should be
After a lengthy dis
to table the applie
submit an alternate
out into the lake i
Motion - Ayes (7),
Mr. Hacking request
had submitted the s
applicant requcstec
was taken.
Tlie Planning CcHnmis
proposal had been i
extending beyond tli
sulimitted.
Bruce and Lester Ke
reviewed a copy of
and utility easemer
utility easement al
not indicated.
