Mr. Anderson has been into ^e office <br />and inquired about the amount of Park Dedication Fee due <br />on his stbdivision which was approved in 1973. The <br />Zoning Administrator felt this proposal should be <br />reviewed by the Conmission. <br />After a brief discussion, Hassel moved, Hannah seconded, <br />that this subdivision proposal be resubmitted. Motion - <br />Ayes (5), Nays (0). <br />There was some discussion to consider denying any duck <br />pond proposals. The Planning Commission felt that <br />removal of aquatic vegetation in any marsh area would <br />destroy the filtration of storm water provided by <br />marshes. <br />The Commission considered setting up standards and <br />clarification of parks. The Commission determined that <br />(parks) as a permitted use in residential districts <br />is too broad a term. Ordinance should be amended. <br />After a brief discussion, the Coimission determined this <br />was definitely a commercial operation, and there are <br />conmercial zones for an operation such as this in Orono. <br />Hannah rwved, Dunlap seconded, to recommend against <br />amending the ordinance for dog boarding or kennels in <br />any residential zone. Motion - Ayes (5), Nays (0). <br />Menber Dunlap submitted her comnents to the Zoning <br />Administrator. This location is <br />north of County Road il5 and east of the Texaco Station <br />at the intersection of County Road #19 and #15. The <br />proposed density would not exceed the zoning requirements. <br />The preliminary model indicated that there would be <br />approximately 3-5 units in Orono. <br />The applicants presented the proposal in order to get <br />sane direction from the Planning Commission. Other <br />than determining the actual location of the structures, <br />the Commission indicated general approval of the concept. <br />The proposal would require platting, detail^ plans for <br />PRD approval and joint agreement with the City of <br />Minnetonka Beach. <br />RICHARD TUIHILL <br />21-UNIT PRD OCX^CEPT <br />i
