He is requesting approval of a conditional <br />use pemit to use existing structure for retail tire and auto <br />service. Discussed this proposed use as an allowed industrial <br />use but a conditional B-1 use. Planning Commission felt proposal <br />would be consistent with the area. <br />Mr. Wear advised that this is intended to be a temporary use of <br />the property and that his leasee will not have use of the land <br />to the rear of the building. <br />After some discussion, Hassel moved, Ilurr seconded, to reconmend <br />approval of ^e conditional use permit with the understanding <br />that the activity be conducted within the confines of the <br />structure. Application to come up for review in one year. <br />Motion - Ayes (7), Nays (0). <br />A public hearing was scheduled for Monday, August 15, 1977, <br />at 7:30 p.m. <br />After a brief discussion concerning the joint meetings <br />between Council and Planning Commission, ^^cDonald moved, <br />Hr ;field seconded, to recommend that these proposed <br />nn.r:tings be changed from Tliursday evenings to TTiesday <br />evenings. Motion > Ayes (7), Nays (0). <br />^fe^i)er Dunlap notified the Commission that due to an <br />increase in her activities she would have to resign frcwii <br />the Commission. Coimission was very concerned about this <br />and suggested that Menber Dunlap take a leave of absence <br />for six months and review her situation at that time. <br />^fember Dunlap agreed. <br />Hannah moved, McDonald seconded, to accept a leave of <br />absence until January 1978, and review situation at <br />that t^.
