There were no conments from <br />tn^e in attendance and the public hearing was closed at 8:30 p.m. <br />After a brief discussion, Hannah moved, Hosfield seconded, <br />to r^onmend approval of the preliminary plat as submitted <br />cmtingent on a park dedication fee and submission of the <br />final plat and subject to all necessary easements. <br />Motion - Ayes (5), Nays (0). <br />Hassel moved, McDonald seconded, that the minutes of the <br />Planning Commission meeting of July 5, 1977, be approved <br />as corrected. Motion - Ayes (5), Nays (0). <br />Kevin Regan of the Sun Newspaper was present and received <br />a copy of the minutes of the July 5, 1977 meeting. <br />The Zoning Administrator infoimed the Coinnission that <br />Mrs. Burger was present and requested that this item <br />be delayed until Mr. Burger arrived. <br />The Zoning Administrator presented a copy of the <br />certified letter smt to Home Federal Savings 8 Loan <br />Association informing the applicant that the proposal <br />would be up for action at this meeting. No represen­ <br />tative was present. <br />Hassel moved, Hann^ seconded, to recommend denial of <br />the lot area and width variance as no hardship was <br />demonstrated. Motion - Ayes (5), Nays (0). <br />The Zoning Administrator reminded the Commission that <br />they had recommended preliminary approval of Mr. <br />White's subdivision request at their meeting of July 5, <br />1977. At that same time, Mr. White was requesting a <br />rear yard setback variance for construction of a new <br />dwellpg. This setback variance had been tabled for <br />more information at the last meeting due to a lack of <br />^rerentation. The Zoning Administrator advised that <br />John Pillsbury, Jr. had called and expressed that he had <br />no objection to this variance. <br />Mr. White was not present. A 20 ft. rear yard setback <br />variance is requested for the proposed house. It was <br />the general feeling of the Conmission that there is <br />enou^ land to locate the house to meet the requirements. <br />After a orief discussion, Hosfield moved, Hassel seconded, <br />to recommend denial of this variance on the basis that no <br />hardship was demonstrated.
