I'he street yard of the back lot shall be adequately screened by <br />fencing or vegetation at the discretion of the City, so as to <br />eliminate intrusion of vehicle headlights into the side or rear yards <br />of adjacent lots. <br />ll Standards for accessory structures. Accessory structures shall adhere to <br />all requirements of the zoning code, with the following additional <br />requirements; <br />1. Accessory structures within a back lot shall be allowed no closer <br />than 10 ’ to a neighboring propeny ’s side or rear yard. <br />2.Accessory structures shall not be allowed within the required street <br />yard of a back lot nor within the required rear yard of a front lot <br />which abuts the street yard of a back lot. <br />3. No accessory structure shall be allowed within an access outlet. <br />SECTION 3. Orono Municipal Code Section 11.31, Subdivision 5 is hereby <br />deleted and the following language substituted in its place: <br />Subdivision 5. Double frontage lots, access to lots, and front/back lot divisions. <br />C. <br />Double frontage lots. Double frontage and reversed frontage lots shall be <br />avoided except where necessary to provide separation of residential <br />development from tratfic ancrials or to overcome specific disadvantages <br />of topography and orientation. <br />Access from any arterial ri)adway. Lots shall not, in general, derive <br />access exclusively from an arterial roadway. Where driveway access from <br />any arterial roadway may be necessary for several adjoining lots, the <br />Council may require that such lots be served by a combined access drive <br />in order to limit possible traffic hazard on such roadway. Where possible, <br />driveways shall be designed and arranged so as to avoid requiring vehicles <br />to back into traffic on any arterial roadway. <br />From/back lot subdivisions. "Flag lots" and "easement back lots" as <br />defined in Uiis Chapter (see definition of "Lot-Back") shall not be created. <br />Frontyback lot divisions shall be allowed only in conjunction with the <br />creation of an outlet to provide access from the back lot to the public or <br />private road. Such outlot shall not be allowed as creditable lot area for <br />either the back or front lots Frontyba:k lot saibdivisions shall adhere to <br />the followuig standards'
