Memo - Flag Lois <br />November 1, 1993 <br />Page 5 <br />Staff Recommendation <br />Staff generally concurs with Planning Commission ’s recommendation, especially the stipulation <br />that this not apply to existing lots and residences. If it did apply to them, we would likely see <br />additional variance requests in areas where the neighborhood has accepted the current situation. <br />Planning Commission questioned and staff noted that there have historically been few if any <br />complaints about Hag lots over the years from neighbors. However, the standards proposed for <br />new lots will generally ensure that the potential negative impacts from flag or front/back lot <br />situations will be minimizec'. <br />If Council so directs, staff will prepare an ordinance reflecting the proposed standards and <br />requirements for adoption at your November 22nd meeting. <br />r
