c. <br />* Cooperators jointly support and obtain <br />funding from Legislative Commission on MN <br />Resources (LCMR), Metropolitan Council, MCWD, <br />and other appropriate sources. <br />* DNR agrees to postpone access site <br />development until the cooperative effort is <br />completed or _ _ _ is determined infeasible. <br />(What is "infeasible"? -- the study or the <br />site?) <br />A task force is established consisting of <br />all affected interests to implement the public <br />access siting process called for in the LHCD <br />Management Plan for Lake Minnetonka. The task <br />force will proceed immediately to meet the <br />Management Plan's objectives. <br />Lake Access Task Force Meetings: <br />A. The first Lake Access Task Force meeting on 3/11/92 <br />introduced its purpose, goal and objectives: <br />PURPOSE -- to establish a plan to meet the Management <br />Plan lake access policies developed in the 1983 and <br />1986 Lake Minnetonka Task Force studies. <br />GOAL involves coordination of an immediate inter <br />agency inventory, study and assessment of the <br />car/trailer parking spaces at public launch ramps to <br />meet the 700 reliable c/t objective. <br />LAKE ACCESS OBJECTIVES: <br />a. Establish criteria in LMCD Code for acceptable <br />year-round lake access, including launch ramps, <br />lakeside and remote c/t parking, handicapped <br />access and signage. <br />b. Conduct joint study of all access ramps and <br />associated c/t parking, identifying all existing <br />ramps and associated lake parking. <br />c. Develop a plan for and provide LMCD-approved <br />boat access ramps with 7C0 reliable c/t parking <br />spaces d. Widen or otherwise improve efficiency <br />of existing ramps for use by more than one c/t at a <br />time. , <br />e. Resolve MN DNR Maxwell Bay access proposal in <br />accord with Management Plan policies and <br />objectives and the 1983 and 1986 Task Force Study <br />recommendations by: <br />1) Activating the Lake Access Task Force, <br />appointing representatives of affected <br />communities, DNR, LMLOA and cititens to <br />implement the public access siting process. <br />2) Facilitate a cooperative effort to <br />address land use issues that are the basis <br />for objections raised by the City of Orono. <br />3) Conduct a feasibility study of land
