Comprehensive Plan Amendment - Adoption of Policy Language <br />October 20. 1993 <br />Page 3 <br />this as a very valuable document which provides good guidelines for storm water management. <br />A few excerpts of "Protecting Water Quality in Urban Areas are attached as Exhibit G for your <br />review. <br />Staff Recommendation <br />While this is a public hearing process to review the proposed addition of NURP standards <br />and BMPs to our Comprehensive Plan Environmental Policy section, the City Council has <br />already indicated their intent to adopt the language to comply with Met Council requirements. <br />Staff would recommend approval of the proposed Comprehensive Plan Amendment, noting that <br />the City Council is proposing to delay acmal Code changes for implementation until no later than <br />May 15,1995, which date allows a more coordinated and comprehensive review leading to <br />updating our stonu water management plan in compliance vith Minnehaha Creek Watershed <br />District requirements. <br />This item will be scheduled for Council review and adoption on Monday, October 25. <br />• % ■mm <br />' » <br />- “ f <br />• . ^ * * *
