agreement and contract for LAV7 ENFORCEMIjNT <br />THIS AGREEMENT AND CONTRACT made and entered into this <br />_ _ _, 19_ _, by and between the CITY OF <br />ORONO,“MU^^sota andThTciTY OF LONG LAKF, Minnesota, is mado <br />under and by virtue o£ Minnesota Statutes, Sectxon ■1/’.E9. <br />WITNESSETH; <br />WHEREAS the Citv of Long Lake is desirous of contracting with <br />the City of Orono for the performance of 'aw enforcement services <br />within the City of Long Lake, and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Orono is agreeable to render law <br />enforcement services on the terms and condit.ions hereinarter set <br />forth, and <br />WHEREAS, a contract such as this is authorized under and by <br />virtue of Che provisions of Minnesota Statutes, Section i-71.59. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, Che City of Orono agrees Chat it will provide <br />law enforcement services for the City of Long Lake on t.he following <br />terms and conditions and the City of Long Lake agrees as lOilows; <br />1 n„f<nirinn of terms. For the purpose of this Agreement, the <br />terms in this Agreement shall have the meanings given to them in <br />Chis section. <br />A. "Contract year" means a 12 month period during which law <br />enforcement services are to be rendered or were rendered to <br />the Contract C;.ties by the City of Orono. The contract year <br />shall commence on Januiary 1 and terminate on the next Decemb <br />31 . <br />H. "Contracting Cities" means any city which is u pait> tc« <br />this contract or a similar contract which by its . <br />interrelated with this contract for the purposes of <br />the total cost for law enforcement services. The <br />cities are Orono. Long Lake. Minnetonka Beach, and Spr g <br />Park. <br />C.
