The septic system <br />at 1940 Shoreline Drive has .a failing septic system. The applicant seeks approval of a <br />connection to an existing sewer line at the southwest comer. The property is approximately 2 <br />acres in area. The adjacent propeny o\sner. Mr. Morse, and the railroad do not have a problem <br />with the amendment as proposed. <br />Peterson commentei! that we .should encourage these hookups to eliminate septic system. <br />MabusUi said they should be encouraged in the shoreland areas and this is a property' that is <br />located within a 100’. <br />Callahan said you can’t be connected to the sewer unless you get the approval of Metropolitan <br />Council. Ihe other connection involved here is the Melamed property so you arc being asked <br />to approve those two MUSA lines.
