Consider possible changes in LMCD's structure, <br />organization, operations and funding, reaching agreement witn <br />the Administrative Committee for subsequent recommendation to <br />the board on how to consider recommended changes. <br />PROCESS Th' subcommittee recommends the Administrative <br />STRUCTURE; <br />* Board -- is it too large? <br />-- can it be more efficient? <br />— members parochial in representing <br />interests of cities, other interest groups? <br />— is accountability sufficient to cities, <br />citizens? <br />-- are important issues being addressed: <br />. . those facina the lake? <br />those identified in Management Plan. <br />— are communications adequate to. <br />. . cities? <br />. . other constituents? <br />City to have each a vote from <br />each city on lake issues? <br />-- should a board member solely represent a <br />city council? , <br />-- how much local city control is desireable <br />in managing the lake? <br />Board -- A smaller size will require a more ^ <br />complicated selection process, basea upon <br />some weighted condition of the city, le: <br />amount of shoreline <br />population <br />taxable market value <br />FUNDING: <br />* Sources:(supplemental to city levy) <br />lake users:boaters - public access, marinas, homes <br />lakeshore frontage <br />lock licensing upon special legisla iv <br />approval
