MIM <br />ijl ^ <br />Medical Institute of Minnesota <br />August 9, 1993 <br />Offices of the Mayor and <br />City Council <br />City of Orono <br />P.0, Box 66 CE101Crystal Bay, Minnesota 55323 <br />RE: Variance Application for Bill <br />and Lori Corneliuo <br />Dear Mayor and Members of the Council; <br />As a ten year .resident of the City of Orono, I am pleased <br />to have this opportunity to express my support for the <br />variance application of Bill and Lori Cornelius, «h^h I <br />understand will be presented for your consideration at this <br />evening's Council meeti.ng. <br />As vou know. Dr. and Mrs. Cornelius have built a <br />beautiful^ new home in Orono, at 960 <br />many parcels of lakeshore property on Lake Minnetonka, lot <br />lines^and frontage at 960 Tonkawa are quite irregular. <br />Nevertheless, Bill and Lori have been able to build their new <br />home in complete compliance with all City ordinar^a and <br />requirements, except for the one outstanding issue addressed <br />in\heir variance application. It is my atrong hope that you <br />iill approve this^plication, not only because it is <br />consistent with established plans for the <br />because I believe it is the better solution for the City of <br />Orono. <br />1 support the concept and principle behind the 75 <br />setback requirement for lakeshore property. In ; <br />believe that the City's requirements <br />surfaces enhance the visual beauty, privacy, wa.er management, <br />and natural environment of the Lake.
