A RESOLUTION GRANTING <br />A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT <br />PER MUTVICIPAL ZONING CODE <br />SECTION 10.03, SUBDIVISION 19 <br />FILE mid <br />WHEREAS, the Hennepin County Department of Environmental Management, <br />(hereinafter "applicant") has applied to the City of Orono (hereinafter "City") for a conditional <br />use permit per Section 10.03, Subdivision 19 to permit the repair of a seawall at the North Arm <br />public access. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Orono, <br />Minnesota: <br />FINDINGS <br />1. Tliis application was reviewed as Zoning File #1820. <br />2. <br />3. <br />The property is l.Tcaled in the LR-IC Lakeshore Residential Zoning District. <br />On May 17, 1993, the Orono Planning Commission reviewed the application as <br />proposed and recommended approval of the conditional use permit based on the <br />following findings: <br />A) On January 13, 1986 the City of Orono granted a conditional use permit <br />for the installation of the .seawall at the North Arm access. <br />B) Repair involves replacement of existing w'ooden sections of wall adjacent <br />to the ramp area and replacement with steel sections. The wooden <br />sections of the wall are in a serious state of disrepair and presems hazards <br />for the public who use the access. <br />Page 1 of 4
