- - -. wi4 <br />MINUTES OF A REGULAR ORONO COUNCIL MEETING <br />HELD JUNE 14, 1993 <br />ZONING FILE #1826 - CONT. <br />Hurr questioned the location of the drive. <br />Mr. Henson stated the drive will be located on the north lot line <br />as access off the County road Is already provided at this location. <br />Kelley questioned the width of the drive and asked If It could be <br />reduced. <br />Mr. Henson replied It will be 10’ wide and anything less wouId not <br />be adequate for emergency vehicles. <br />Hurr questioned whether the bituminous would be removed around the <br />existing garage. <br />Mrs. Henson stated it would remain. <br />Kelley indicated he sees no hardship for the granting of the <br />variance In the 0-75’ zone. He added he would be wiI Iing to approve <br />stairs to the lake as they have done in other applications. <br />Mr. Henson stated their lawn Is very wet and soft and they need <br />support for seating. <br />Charles Schroeder asked the applicant if he has considered the <br />possibility of a smaller garage. <br />Mr. Henson stated because of the location of the existing garage, <br />they need a two stalI garage near the house. <br />It was moved by Goetten, seconded by Hurr, to approve Application <br />#1826 for Robert and Ann Henson, 2166 Shadywood Road, approving <br />lot coverage, setback, and hardcover variances to permit the <br />construction an attached garage and smaller lakeside deck, subject <br />to the hardcover removals listed in the application. <br />Mayor Callahan suggested they discuss the drainageway. <br />Mabusth noted staff has recommended a 5’ wide drainage and access <br />easement along the north lot line. <br />Kelley suggested the applicants submit a grading plan to the Ci^y <br />for review. <br />Hurr asked If the drive wIM be located over the easement.
