Ebertim <br />Dear Mike, <br />We have reviewed the improvements proposed on the Schmitt property at 1475 <br />Shoreline Drive. The ice pressure has formed a ridge on the yard along the <br />shoreline which should be corrected. <br />The placement of a silt fence along the shoreline should be required. The <br />grading and sodding work should be completed within a week to minimize the po­ <br />tential for erosion. <br />The proposed work will not solve the problem but only correct the damage <br />caused to date. The rip rap along the shoreline has been placed at approxi­ <br />mately a 1:1 slope. Tue steep slope does not allow the ice to ride over the <br />rip rap. Extensive rip rap work would be necessary to minimize future prob­ <br />lems with the shoreline. <br />We would recommend that the proposed work be allowed.
