<9m 1 <br />MINUTES OP THE PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING HEJJ) MAY 4, 1987 <br />#1112 SMITH BAY MARINA CONTINUED <br />Dan Crear stated that the proposed locations for boat <br />would not be a problem. Mary Crear requested <br />extended to <br />connect with the fence alone the 1950 Shoreline Drive <br /><3o not want the the fence <br />along their lot line extended any further towards Spates <br />currently exists because it would obstruct their view of the lake. <br />There were no other comments from tb- public and the <br />public hearing was closed. <br />s was moved by Chairman Kelley, se^'cnded by Taylor, to <br />recommend approval of the conditional use permit per <br />staff recommendations and subject to: <br />a) Fence being repaired <br />b) Allowing a maximum of 4 boats 20'-25' to be <br />stored on the property. The remaining 3 boats must <br />be under 20' in length. <br />Motion, Ayes 5, Nays 0, Abstention 1. Cohen abstained <br />from comment and voting in this application because of <br />his past dealings with Mr. Toberman, which was <br />consistent with his action at the March 16, 1987 <br />Johnson questioned the issue of the County requesting an <br />additional 7' of right-of-way and how it would affect <br />this proposal. <br />Zoning Administrator Mabusth stated that the City has <br />consistently denied that request because it is at its <br />maximum, as far as the City is concerned, for a scenic <br />highway. <br />Chairman Kelley explained that every time there is a <br />subdiviGion/application for a property along County Rd. <br />15, the County request more right-of-way for the future <br />possibility of expanding the road to which the Citv is <br />opposed. ^ <br />George Rovegno, 2010 Shoreline Drive, arrived after this <br />public hearing was over. He wanted it noted that it <br />appeared to him to be a use variance which is illegal <br />according to code. <br />Chairman Kelley advised Mr. Rovegro to attend the May <br />Council meeting in which this application will again be <br />discussed.
