WHEREASt without municipal sewer, the lot was considered by the City as not <br />buildable, and provision of municipal sewer service to the property would most likely result in <br />the lot becoming buildable with only a lot area variance required; and <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Ehalt formally appealed the assessment amount through the <br />legally prescribed method, claiming that the lot is similar in size and character with other <br />developed lots in the neighborhood and that the City I^IwCly would have granted the necessary <br />variances as it had in the past for other substandard lots in the neighborhood, if Mr. Ehalt had <br />made such an application to the City in the and <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Ehalt further claimed that as a result of sewer availability the <br />property would not gain $18,880.00 in value; and <br />WHEREAS, the City and Mr. Ehalt agreed that a reduction of the assessment to <br />$14,000.00 would be acceptable. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Stubbs Bay Sanitary Sewer <br />Assessment Roll is hereby amended to revise the principal assessment amount from $18,880.00 <br />to $14,000.00. <br />Adopted by the City Council this 10th day of May, 1993 <br />ATTEST: <br />Dorothy M.
