There is a greater potential for a unit such as this to be rented at some time in the future.Issues for Consideration - <br />1. What other controls are needed outside of limiting use of <br />apartment to two occupants and requiring a new conditional use permit <br />for any modification in floor plan that would suggest an <br />intensification in use? <br />Staff RecoBBKndation - <br />To recommend approval of the conditional use permit application of <br />Glenn and Jane Slaughter that would allow a non-rental apartment in their <br />residence located at 4545 Wayzata Boulevard finding all pertinent standards <br />of Section 10.20, Subdivision 3 (G) have been satisfied. Approval is <br />subject to the following conditions: <br />1. Prior to scheduling the application before the Council, applicant <br />must provide an amended floor plan relocating interior entrance to <br />apartment via the living room or a more defined entrance hallway area <br />and either relocate exterior entrance into an enlarged kitchen area or <br />reduce entrance approach area into the living room. <br />2. Applicants/future owners are placed on notice that the use of this <br />apartment is limited to two occupants and any modification in floor <br />plan must be approved by the City of Orono. <br />3.
