Lindquist seconded, to approve Application #1960 for variance and <br />conditkMial use peniiit per conditions set forth in Staff memo to include a IS* drainage <br />easemeitt over proposed drainagewty subject to approval of the drainage plan by the City <br />Engineer, stripmg of the parking lot. and a $50 fine for the after-the-fiKt permit. Ayes 7. <br />NaysO. <br />(#6) #1965 GUSTAFSON DESIGN/JAMES LEAR, 2525 DUNWOODY AVENUE - <br />CONUniONAL USE PERMITA^ARIANCE - CONTINUATION OF PUBLIC <br />HEARING - t:25-t:40 P.M. <br />Mr. Lear and Mr. Gustafson were both present. <br />Gaffion reposted tins application was tabled from the last meeting awaiting a detailed <br />plan wbidi is now included in this package. The bank on the property has <br />tMmA and the plan consiau of a series of retainiiig walls of ageo-grid nature two <br />fffryyy ^imI « vitXIcway to solve the erosioo problem. The esdsting stairway will be <br />removed. The 43 s.f shed, which is 6* high, will remain for equipment storageand housing <br />oftheinigBtioo system pump. The City Engineer is in agreernem with the plan but had <br />noted the difficulty in mowing the slope area. The applicant decided not to mow the <br />slopes, instetd proiectii^ the areas with erorion mats and mulch. Gaffirm sw d the <br />did not want boulder-type rock which resulted in a plan consisting of a "lannon" <br />stone product with Obric laid underneath. Staff commented that this plan should solve <br />the sIm issue and erosion problems. <br />Rowlette remarked, that should the shed deteriorate, a 20 s.f. structure would be expected <br />in the future. It was noted that the layer offibrk to be used in the plan was not <br />hardcover, and the rip-rap will need to be approved by the watershed rfistnet. <br />Nolan moved, Berg seconded, to approve Applicatioo #1965 with the Staff <br />reconanendation that a representative of American Engineering Testing be on site to <br />rve the conditions during construction.
