9. All Officers to be Officers of the Contract The <br />officers assigned duty within the Contract Cities shall be <br />provided authority to enforce the several laws of the Cities <br />by proper action to be taken by the governing councils of the <br />Contract Cities. The Chief Police of the City of Orono <br />shall furnish the names of all Crono police officers to the <br />Clerks of the Contract Cities <br />10. Offenses. All offenses shall be charged in accordance <br />with the ordinances of the Contract City in which the offense <br />occurred in each case possible, otherwise, the charge shall be <br />made in accordance with the laws of the State of Minnesota or <br />the laws of the Federal Government. <br />11.Communications. Equipment and Supplies. The City of <br />Orono shall furnish communication equipment necessary to <br />perform the services which are to be rendered. The City of <br />Orono shall provide the necessary equipment and vehicles and <br />the Ccntract Cities shall provide any necessary supplies which <br />muit be specifically printed for the Contract Cities. <br />12. Cooperation and Assistance from the Contract Cities. The <br />City of Orono and the Contract Cities shall have full <br />cooperation and assistance from e^ch others officers, agents, <br />and employees. <br />13. Headquarters. Headquarters for the services rendered to <br />the Contract Cities under the agreement shall be located at <br />offices owned or leased by the City of Orono, and the citizens <br />of the Contract Cities shall notify headquarters, or radio <br />dispatch for services requested either in person or by some <br />other means of communication. Services shall be rendered to <br />the Contract Cities on a 24 hour basis. <br />14. Cost to the Contract Cities. <br />A. Cost Sharing Formula for the Total Base Cost. For <br />and in consideration of rendition of Law Enforcement <br />services under this agreement, the Contract Cities shall <br />pay total base costs determined by the formula, as <br />illustrated in Appendix A, for each contract year. <br />The factors of the formula, which shall be weighed <br />equally, shall be defined as follows: <br />Page 6 <br />I <br />■r liHif tm-vfT J£Sl irBa
