A RESOLUTION GRANTING <br />VARIANCES TO <br />MUNICIPAL ZONING CODE <br />SECTION 10.23, SUBDIMSION 6(B) <br />FILE #1927 <br />WHEREAS, Mary K. McCany (hereinafter "the applicant") is the owner of the <br />property located at 245 Tonka Avenue within the City of Orono (hereinafter "City") and legally <br />described as follows: <br />Lots 3, 4, 5 and 6, Block 3, "Bayside Addition to Lake Minnetonka", Hennepin County, <br />Minnesota (hereinafter "the property"); and <br />WHEREAS, the applicant has applied to the City for variances to Municipal <br />Zoning Code Section 10.23, Subdivision 6(B) to permit construction of a new residence on a <br />property that consists of 25,050 s.f. or .6 acres where 87,120 s.f. or 2 acres is required and a <br />rear setback variance for the structure is proposed 30’ trom the rear lot line where a 50 setback <br />is required. <br />Minnesota: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Orono, <br />FINDINGS <br />1. This application was reviewed as Zoning File #1927. <br />3. <br />The property is located in the LR-IA, Lakeshore Residential Zoning District <br />requiring 2 acres in area. The property consists of 25,050 s.f. or .6 acres. <br />The Orono Planning Commission reviewed this application on May 16, 1994, and <br />recommended unanimous approval of the proposed variances based upon the <br />following findings and hardships: <br />A.
