Zoning File #1925
May 10, 1994
Page 2
This is an older residence that was added onto in 1976 (variance file #155) and remodeled in
1983.
The house sits on a .9 acre lot surrounded on three sides bv the highly wotxled Dayton property.
There are no nearby residences which would suffer a negative visual impact by this roof line
revision. The nearest adjacent residence is across Old Long Lake Road.
Applicant ’s obv ious hardship is that the house exists nearer the side and front lines than the
required setbacks.
Applicant has requested that this application be forwarded directly to the Council ’s May 23rd
meeting.
StaH' Recommendation
Staff recommends approval of the variance as requested, based on the findings that:
1. No change in existing footprint is proposed.
2. Visual impact is minimal due to distance to neighboring residences as well as
existing vegetation screening.
Options for Action
1. Approval as proposed.
2. Conditional approval (state conditions).
3. Denial (state reasons).
4. Table (request additional information).
5.Other.
