Gerhardson ^, <br />Title Public Works DirectorL^'\»2 <br />Administrator Reviewed:Agenda Section: <br />Item Description: 1994 Community Development Block Grant Program <br />For the past several years, the City of Orono has been participating in the Community <br />Development Block Grant Program. <br />For 1994, the City should receive approximately $23,000. In the past, the City has allocated <br />monies to community service organizations such as We Can, Interfailh Outreach, Westonka- <br />Intervention, Housing Rehab and Stubbs Bay Sewer Connection Grant. <br />In order to participate in the program, the City must conduct a public hearing to receive City <br />input. A draft public hearing notice is included for Council review and approval. <br />I have listed activities that the Council may want to consider. Those activities must be included <br />in the public hearing notice but that does not mean they will be tunded once the public hearing <br />has been conducted. <br />It is recommended the public hearing date be March 14, 1994 at 7:30 p.m <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Motion to establish a public hearing concerning the allocation of 1994 CDBG funds for 7:30 <br />p.m. on March 14. 1994, and to approve the public hearing notice as drafted by staff.
