Gertiardson <br />Title Public Works Director <br />Administrator Reviewed:Agenda Section: <br />Item Description: Water Tower Antenna Request <br />Recently I received a request from Safe Link Corporation to consider the installation of an <br />antenna on our water tower behind the City offices. <br />The antenna wouid be a six foot fiberglass mounted on the railing at the top of the tower. <br />Usually there are control cabinets that are placed in a nearby building. The control cabinets are <br />21" wide. 24" deep and 30" high. <br />A standard rental fee is $100-150 per month. <br />We have a similar agreement in place at the Navarre water tower for which Public Works <br />receives 12 digital pagers at no cost. <br />If Council agrees with this type of activity, we would present a more formal request at a later <br />date. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Motion to indicate the Council’s position regarding the rental of space for an antenna on the <br />City’s water tower.
