These agreements should be between the LMCD and the local unit of <br />government. The DNR Trails and Waterways unit will review and <br />comrr.ent on these agreements. The DNR will also monitor the quality <br />and effectiveness of the agreements in cooperation with the LMCD <br />and the local unit of government. <br />Some considerations in evaluating these sites are: <br />- clarity of access design <br />- how boaters use the access <br />- location of parking <br />- security of personal property <br />- safety of boaters and their passengers <br />- parking standards must be met j* • <br />- launching ramps must be maintained in good condition <br />The first agreement was in May of 1993 with the City <br />Minnetrista.
