5. <br />6. <br />7. <br />8. <br />Parkino inventory data indicates there are parking spaces now <br />availabl'i or that can be made available which can meet the <br />standards as follows: <br />266 existing in lots or under agreement <br />173 in use but not under agreement <br />g8 future coiranitted or negotiable <br />527 total potentially certifiable <br />Well over 700 car/trailers have been observed at or near <br />launch rcurps when weather is good. <br />Parking agreements must be negotiated to certify the 173 <br />additional spaces now in use without formal agreements. <br />Funding .must be made available to insure development of the <br />new access sites at the Hennepin County Regional Park. <br />A new public access at Maxwell Bay, Orono, requires successful <br />negotiation and additional regional funding. <br />To reach the goal of 700 car/trailer parking spaces, <br />additional parking must be negotiated. Efforts to enlist <br />cc^e^cial ri^rxnas in providing this parking are recommended. <br />The remaining balance of the 700 free public jar/trailer <br />parking goal can be met only by continued <br />by responsible agencies. New access sites are <br />locate, require good timing and access to adequate funding. <br />This study adopts criteria for locating new sites. <br />Car/trailer parking cannot be increased at existing ramps <br />ealuy A review of quality and efficiency of <br />sites may, however, lead to improvement in safety and <br />effectiveness. <br />ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS <br />This Study depended upon collaborationtatives, municipal, regional and state officials.
